In front of the mihrah is the minbar. The minbar
is a raised platfom, like the pulpit in a church. The imam
(religious leader) will give a sermon from the minbar during
the service in the mosque on Friday afternoon. This is the
main service of the week and all Muslims try to come to the mosque for
this service. |
